What low testosterone actually feels like

Peter's list, in the order men usually mention them:

  • Fatigue that sleep doesn't fix
  • Motivation gone
  • Brain fog
  • Shorter temper
  • Lower sex drive, weaker erections
  • Slower recovery after training
  • Losing muscle, gaining belly fat
  • Weight that won't shift
  • Less confidence

Take the ten-question check

Peter O'Brien, nurse practitioner, who reviews every set of labs at Go Time Health
Peter reads your labs with you — not a portal summary, not a coordinator.

How it works here

  • Phone consult — no charge to find out if you're a candidate
  • Lab order for Quest, drawn locally
  • You and Peter look at the numbers together
  • If treatment is right, medication ships to your door
  • Follow-up labs and dose adjustments on a schedule
  • One in-person visit a year, in Southern California

My job is not to sell you testosterone. My job is to teach you about it.

Peter O'Brien, NP

Before you start, read these

The protocol

Testosterone cypionate, injected subcutaneously, twice a week. That schedule is deliberate — twice-weekly keeps hormone levels smoother than a single larger dose, which means fewer crashes, fewer side effects, less mood swing, and better absorption. The needle is also smaller and it hurts less.

You'll be shown exactly how to do it. Most men find it easier than they expected.

What we watch

  • PSA
  • Hematocrit and hemoglobin
  • Estrogen
  • Total and free testosterone
  • Liver enzymes

Baseline before you start, then follow-ups on a schedule — alongside how you're actually feeling.

Start with bloodwork, not a prescription.

If the numbers don't support treatment, we'll tell you that.
